Sculpture "Ali and Nino"

The opening of Tamara Kvesitadze's project took place in 2011. Two 8-meter sculptures illustrate the famous love story of Muslim Ali and Christian Nino. Their parents were against the couple's romance. That is why every evening the sculptures made in an unusual style converge, becoming a single whole, and then diverge again. The area around is illuminated, which creates a special atmosphere.

Batumi boulevard

Laid down in 1881 by German specialists on behalf of the governor. It stretches for 7 km and is conditionally divided into old and new. The adjoining garden has retained its splendor from the past. Comfortable modern benches, lighting, and many sculptures appeared on the boulevard. Small restaurants and cafes open here during the season. A tourist walk usually ends with a gathering in one of them.

Piazza

The project was designed by Vazha Orbeladze in 2010. Piazza is made in Venetian style and lacks Georgian flavor. There is also a collection of national costumes. In total, about 30 buildings have been installed within the boundaries of "Borjgalo". The founder of the museum, Kemal Turmanidze, is engaged in woodcarving and cordially shows tourists his own works.

It was created in 1908 and was named after Khariton Akhvlediani, a public figure. The collection grew and in 1935 it needed a new building. The premises received then occupies the museum to this day. Among the exhibits are rare books and manuscripts in different languages, art objects, a photo archive. In addition, the archaeological and ethnographic departments, as well as the department of nature, are highlighted.

Adjara Art Museum

Founded in 1998. The collection occupies a building built in 1949 in the Stalinist Empire style. In the past, there was a museum dedicated to the October Revolution. 423 m² is allocated for the permanent exhibition, and 383 m² for temporary exhibitions. The collection consists of paintings, sculptures and prints by Georgian artists, as well as recognized masters from other countries. There is a children's studio at the museum.

Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin

It was erected at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. It was originally a Roman Catholic church. This can be seen primarily in the Gothic style of the building. During Soviet times, it was used for other purposes. Believers have been trying to regain the cathedral for a long time. As a result, it was transferred to the Orthodox Church and made a cathedral. At the entrance there are statues of Simon the Canaanite and Andrew the First-Called.

Church of the Holy Christ the All-Savior

Belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church. Construction was carried out in the 80s of the last century under the guidance of architect Robert Marfeld. The building was used for other purposes. In order to resume the services in the church, an extensive reconstruction had to be carried out. It took several years, and the doors of the temple reopened to the believers in 2000. A youth center and a Sunday school now work here.

Temple of the Holy Trinity on Mount Sameba

It takes about half an hour to get from the city center to the temple. It was built in the middle of the nineteenth century. However, the original building was destroyed in a fire. The new one was erected later, and the last reconstruction took place in the 21st century. The peculiarity of the location makes the area foggy in cloudy weather. The rest of the time, a beautiful view of Batumi from the observation deck opens up from here.

Church of St. Nicholas

Built in the 19th century at the request of the Greek part of the city's population. With the advent of Soviet power, the church was closed. During the war, it suffered and fell into desolation. In peacetime, reconstruction took place with donations from believers. Since 1946, it was again opened to the flock, but with some restrictions. Bright blue windows and alternating stripes in the exterior wall decoration allow the building to stand out.

ABC Tower

Alberto Domingo Cabo, an architect from Spain, was responsible for the construction of this landmark in 2012. The tower is located in the "Park of Miracles".The project was conceived as a reference to the appearance of the DNA molecule. The nucleotides for it are the letters of the Georgian alphabet. The metal structure is 130 m high. At the top there is an observatory, a restaurant and a TV studio. You can only get there by elevator.

Chacha Tower

The tower was built in 2012. Its height is about 25 meters. In fact, this structure is a fountain surrounded by pools. Once a week for 15 minutes, anyone can treat themselves to chacha here. The Georgian national drink needs no introduction, but the city wants as many people as possible to know about it. The attraction appeared precisely to popularize the drink.

Dancing fountains

There are three such fountains in the city. Two of them offer something like an attraction: you need to run between trickles of water and not get wet. Cable car "Argo"

The longest cable car in Georgia was opened in 2013. The length is 2600 meters, and the height is up to 250 meters. Tourists climb the mountain in cozy little booths. Gonio-Apsaros fortress

The beaches at the airport and at the New Boulevard are also in demand. The entrance to the water is less convenient here, but they are still suitable for swimming.
